The World Boxing Council, officially announced that 2025 as the Year of Africa, celebrating the history, achievements, magnificence, and splendor of African boxing.
Various WBC fights and titles have been held, and a commemorative belt was even made in honor of the Year of Africa. To continue the celebrations, the African Boxing Union super welterweight title will be contested.
On July 27th at the Chapiteau de Kolwezi in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jacques “Boyika” Tshikubu and Jacob Tetteh will fight for the African Boxing Union title in the super welterweight division.
