The World Boxing Council officially announced 2025 as the Year of Africa, celebrating the history, achievements, magnificence, and splendor of African boxing.
Several WBC fights and titles have been held, and a commemorative belt was even created in honor of the Year of Africa. To continue the celebrations, the African Boxing Union super welterweight title will be contested.
On July 27, at the Chapiteau de Kolwezi in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jacques “Boyika” Tshikubu and Jacob Tetteh will fight for the African Boxing Union super welterweight title.
Both fighters passed the official weigh-in:
Muvuud: 68.95 kg
Tetteh: 68.50 kg
